Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain
رافلز قصر العرين البحرين
Bahrain's only all-villa resort, where each of the 78 villas has its own private pool and a Raffles butler, set in the quiet Al Areen desert.
About Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain
Raffles Al Areen Palace opened in December 2023 as the first Raffles hotel in Bahrain and the kingdom's only resort made up entirely of villas. It stands on the site of the former Al Areen desert spa resort, inside the wider Al Areen masterplan owned by GFH, and was rebuilt and restyled under the Raffles brand, which is part of Accor.

There are 78 villas in one, two and three-bedroom layouts. Each has a walled courtyard and a private pool, and guests are looked after by Raffles butlers, who also handle in-villa dining. The largest is the Royal three-bedroom villa, aimed at families and small groups who want space and privacy rather than a busy hotel lobby.

Dining centres on Palma, an all-day Mediterranean restaurant with a terrace, and Ycone Paris, a patisserie by pastry chef Yazid Ichemrahen that also serves afternoon tea. The Raffles Pool offers light bites and drinks. The spa combines Eastern and Western treatments and includes a rainforest shower and ice igloo circuit.
The location is a large part of the appeal. The resort sits beside the Al Areen Wildlife Park and close to the Lost Paradise of Dilmun water park, Bahrain International Circuit and the beaches of the south-west coast, so it works well for a quiet weekend, a race weekend or a family break without crossing the island.
