About St Christopher's School, Senior School

St Christopher's School was founded in 1961 and is one of the best-known British international schools in the Gulf. It is co-educational and teaches the British curriculum from Reception to Sixth Form, with students taking GCSEs followed by A levels or the International Baccalaureate.

In August 2026 the senior school moved from its historic Isa Town campus to a new, purpose-built campus in the south of the island, covering around 100,000 square metres. The Isa Town campus closed with the move. The infant and junior schools remain in Saar.

The new campus was designed around student feedback asking for more space. Facilities include a performing arts centre and a dedicated music and drama building, specialist STEM spaces, digital media studios and flexible learning areas. These spaces serve both students and the wider school community.

Sport is a major part of the design, with a 50-metre swimming pool, a climbing wall, an athletics track and football pitches. The school has been listed among the top international schools in the Middle East by The Schools Index.
